      Centrino Laptop Sales Up, Wireless LAN Spreading

    The portion of laptop computers equipped with Intel's Centrino mobile chipset has been climbing in recent months amid growing interest among users in wireless LAN services, industry sources said yesterday.Intel launched the sale of its new chip in March, infusing wireless LAN connectivity into its computer chips for laptop users, betting that customers would favor integrated chips thanks to the fast penetration of wireless Internet services.
