Recently, as I was checking to see how well the Learninglinux.com web site was doing across various search engines and links, I happened on one link that has an interesting approach on themes. This story is a must read to see the humor in this event. The headline was so good I had to use it here for this article as well.

| Many people have been requesting a Mailing List for discussing Learning Linux questions and answers. To accommodate this, a mailing list has been setup. The list will also be used to anouncements and updates when new articles are posted on the site. The main purpose is so everyone including Linux experts can help everyone build a stronger Linux community.

After thinking about how the Topics and Forums should be used we have decided to add another Topic for people who have General Questions requiring an quick Answer or Solution to a problem they are having. This will make sure that people coming to the site will see these General Questions and possibly have a solution ASAP. There will even be a long term benefit when we create FAQs for users to cross reference. Enjoy!
As well we have reformated the Main Menu options so that the site is easier to navigate. Let us know what your opinion is on the layout.

In order to make sure messages and news information are posted to their correct places on the site we wanted to post some information regarding two aspects of the Learning Linux site. These are the Topics and Forums and how they are used.
Basically the Topics are used for posting news and users may comment on each post if they wish. The Forums are used for questions and answers depending on the dicussion you post to.
Please send your comment and suggestions if this helps sort things out.
