      General Q & A: Help with LAMP (Linux with Apache, MySQL and PHP)
     Posted by: LearningLinux :: news - silvepaadmin on Tuesday, June 11 @ 01:32:28 CDT
    General Q & Asilvepaadmin writes "Hello,
    I'm runnign REDHAT 7.2 and installed PHP, MYSQL and Apache on the original install. I tried to configure MYSQL to run with PHP and I'm getting errors that lead me to believe that I need to recompile PHP with MYSQL support. Does anyone know how to do that? Is there a white paper on it? Any help would be great...

      General Q & A: How to tell if PHP is running on RedHat 7.2
     Posted by: LearningLinux :: news - jmiller44 on Thursday, April 25 @ 18:10:44 CDT
    General Q & Ajmiller44 writes "Hoping someone could help. I'm new to Linux and have been asked how to tell if PHP is running on their server. I assume there are dozens or hundreds of specific modules. I see that the rpm's for PHP were installled, but I'm not sure if it has been compiled to work with MySQL and Apache nor if PHP is even active on the server. Is there a specific command to type besides ps -aux that will allow me to see if PHP is active?

    Thanks,

    jbm"

      General Q & A: I am looking for the ultimate guide for setting up your own Servers
     Posted by: LearningLinux :: news - Dejo on Wednesday, March 20 @ 23:11:36 CST
    General Q & ADejo writes "I have been searching for , yeah I don't know how long now. But I'm looking for the ultimate guide for setting up your own:

    WWW Server
    Mail Server
    DNS Server
    FTP Server

    I know you can find guides for each of these things, but they are inŽa language only "freaks" understand. And if the linux enviroment really want's to hit the market, make a manual for this so that people like myself have a chance of using it. "
